Introduction

Welcome to WordSloth! This Privacy Policy explains how Biliby Pty Ltd ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our WordSloth mobile application (the "App").

At WordSloth, we believe in keeping things simple and respecting your privacy. We've designed our App with minimal data collection, especially since it's primarily built for children.

Information You Provide

  • First Name: We ask for your first name only to personalize your experience within the App.

  • Feedback Information (Optional): If you choose to provide feedback through our settings screen, you may optionally share your name, email address, message, and feedback type. This information is completely optional and is only used to improve our App and respond to your feedback if necessary.
     

Information Collected Automatically

  • Speech Data: When you use the App, speech data is sent to Apple's speech recognition service to convert your speech to text. This is a core functionality of WordSloth. This data is processed according to Apple's privacy practices and is not stored by us.

  • Once-off Usage Location (Optional): With your permission, we collect a single "ping" when you first use the App. This approximate location is determined by your internet connection, not your device's GPS. This provides only a general regional or city-level location (often just at the state/province level). You can choose whether to include your first name with this ping or keep it completely anonymous. This helps us see general areas where people are enjoying WordSloth around the world, and gives is a little joy when we see this on our screen each morning. We do not track your precise location, ongoing movements, or collect location data after this initial ping.
     

How We Use Your Information

  • We use your first name to personalize your experience within the App.

  • If you permit the location "ping," we use this information solely to display an anonymous pin on our world map showing where WordSloth is being used.

  • If you provide feedback through our settings screen, we use this information only to improve our App and to respond to your feedback if necessary.

  • We do not use your information for advertising or marketing purposes.

  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties.
     

Your Choices

  • Location Ping: During the onboarding process, you can choose to:

    • Share the ping with your first name

    • Share the ping without your name (completely anonymous)

    • Opt out entirely (no ping will be sent)
       

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect the limited information we collect. Since we collect minimal data, there is minimal risk to your privacy.
 

Children's Privacy

WordSloth is designed primarily for children. We intentionally limit data collection to protect children's privacy and comply with applicable laws regarding children's online privacy.
 

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
